PARTNERSHIPS
ART AGAINST KNIVES X GUCCI CHANGEMAKERS
The Gucci Changemaker programmes’ aim is to create positive impact in the capital’s fashion and creative industries. Launched in 2023, Changemakers London is the first European extension of Gucci’s groundbreaking ‘Changemakers’ initiative - in partnership with Art Against Knives as a changemaker London grassroot organisation; with the intention of opening up the creative industries to young people from marginalised communities.
ART AGAINST KNIVES X BARNET YOUNG CARERS
We’ve joined forces with Barnet Young Carers to support the long-term wellbeing of 250 young carers aged 10-24 in Barnet. Together we will co-design and deliver a new peer-mentoring programme, ensuring young carers have access to the unique support and opportunity they need to realise hopeful futures.
We’ve built a team of creative Youth Workers and Peer Leaders who will be embedded in schools across the borough where they will build relationships with young carers and support them in accessing our youth-led community spaces. This collaboration has been funded by Propel and will run until July 2025.
ART AGAINST KNIVES X LIBERTY HUMAN RIGHTS
We’ve worked with Liberty to co-author a new report ‘Holding Our Own: A guide to non-policing solutions to serious youth violence.’ Together, we’re saying government neglect is damaging communities and investment in young people is needed. We’re calling for or a new approach to serious youth violence, including better funded youth services and a rolling back of police powers to build trust with communities
ART AGAINST KNIVES X MAC UK
We’re currently working with the pioneering charity MAC UK to embed mental health support within our creative spaces. The partnership involves the placement of MAC-UK professionals alongside our delivery team and their expert support in co-designing a mental health model that works for young people.
ART AGAINST KNIVES X STUDIO N2
A local partnership between Art Against Knives, The Grange Big Local and Barnet Homes to reduce serious youth violence and safeguard young people in the N2 community in London.
ART AGAINST KNIVES X BRITISH RED CROSS
Art Against Knives partnered with British Red Cross to produce animated films depicting real-life stories from three young Londoners. The animations help to share life-saving first aid for knife attacks.
